This was a evaluation study of thirty Joint Forest Management committees (JFMCs) federated under a FDA based at Gadchiroli Forest Division.  A detailed evaluation of the socio-economic aspects as well as the plantations of all the thirty JFMCs was done. Performance of each of the JFMCs was evaluated. An aggregated score was provided at the Range level. Accordingly, short-term as well as sustained action were suggested to make changes at the implementation level. The over-all performance of the FDA based at the division was graded as 'very good'.
